Macronix offers Serial Flash products from 512Kb to 128Mb densities in an 8-pin SOP (150mil or 200mil) or a 16-pin SOP (300 mil) package. These devices, offered in x1 organization, support read, erase and program operations. These products utilize a serial peripheral interface(SPI) protocol.
Macronix Serial Flash not only facilitates system hardware layout but also reduces the complexity of system design. Our 3V products operate over a voltage range of 2.7V to 3.6V. All products from 512Kb to 128Mb are available in production now. Moreover, Macronix also provides high performance Serial Flash products (MX25Lxx05D/ 35D) with dual I/O and quad I/O operation which doubles and quadruples the read performance of systems for high-end consumer applications. The multiple I/O products are offered in densities of 16Mb and above.
Multi-I/O serial Flash introduction Macronix new generation Multi-I/O Serial Flash not only provides cost advantage of Serial Peripheral Interface but also provides outstanding access time, which enables system designer no longer compromising with speed performance of Serial Flash. Read ID of Multi-I/O Serial Flash Application NoteMacronix offers a broadrange of serial flash devices with multi-I/O features. These products not only provide cost advantage of Serial Peripheral Interface but also outstanding access time, which enables system designer no longer compromising with low speed performance of Serial Flash. However, the device identification must be well taken care of to distinguish the traditional single I/O serial flash from the new multi-I/O serial Flash.
Macronix Industry-Standard Parallel Flash memory products offer an extensive line of 3V products from 4Mb to 128Mb densities. Our products feature Boot and Uniform Sector architectures in x8, x16 and x8/x16 selectable configurations. Macronix Flash memory provides customers with cost-effective, hIgh performance and reliable products that offer low-power consumption, 20-year data retention and 100,000 cycle endurance over the life of the devices. 4Mb and 8Mb and 16Mb products are also offered in 4mm x 6mm BGA packages for space-constrained applications.
Macronix also offers a family of 1.8V flash. 4Mb and 8Mb products use a Vcc of 1.8V, whereas the 16Mb and 32Mb products interface with I/O voltage of 1.8V. These products are used in applications like BlueTooth, MP3 Players, GPS as well as other portable applications.
